Nigerian Veteran Nollywood actor, Obinna Nwafor, popularly known as Saint Obi is dead.
Obinna Nwafor (November 16, 1965 – May 7, 2023) popularly known as Saint Obi, was a Nigerian actor, film producer and film director.
The popular actor, Saint Obi is known for his roles in Candle Light, Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire, Executive Crime and Last Party.
Meanwhile, Obi majored in Theatre Arts at the University of Jos, and ventured into acting in 1996 via a Peugeot television commercial. He would later star in over 60 movies.
In 2001, Saint Obi produced his first movie titled Take Me to Maama, where he starred as Jerry, alongside Ebi Sam, Rachel Oniga, Nse Abel and Enebeli Elebuwa.
About a week ago, the talented thespian Saint Obi was pronounced dead as he passed away at the age of 57 on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Jos, Plateau State.
The report said the actor died at the home of one of his siblings. According to sources, disagreement between his siblings is the reason his death took almost a week to be made known.
The real cause of his demise has not been made known at the time of this report, his remains were said to have been deposited at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, morgue.
